My Newest Quilts

I made this quilt from the Borders Quilt class that I took at my local quilt store, Quakertown Quilts in Friendswood, TX. My granddaughter, Cameron, saw a picture of it on my blog and asked if she could have it. I, of course, said, "Yes!", but it took me another year to complete it. It is the most complex, mathematical quilt I have every made.

My son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Ashley, asked me to make a quilt for them that would match their livingroom...red, black, white and zebra print! This is the quilt that I created from their criteria. I decided to make the front of the quilt a traditional look and then put the zebra print on the back. That way when you flip the corner over... WHAM! You are hit with the cool zebra stripes.

So, what do you think? Are the quilts pretty cool or what?

Oh, Robin! I LOVE this! I had no idea you did this professionally! I have been wanting to learn some quilting and make a quilt or two to get me started... you know where I'm coming when I'm ready to get it finished!! :) Thanks for sharing this blog with me.
